Rob Speranza is a producer and production manager from Brooklyn, New York but based in Sheffield, known mainly for his work on Entity (2012), inbred (2011) and obsession. He also produced feature film Arthur and Merlin an origin story of how King Arthur and Wizard merlin met. He has been involved in the production of 21 films and has run the South Yorkshire Filmmaker Network since 2004.

A performance music video is where the artist just sings and dances on screen whereas a narrative music video is where the artist could still be singing and dancing but there will be actors to create a story

What are music videos for

To help promote an artist and show their image. Promote tours, albums, films and encourage chart sales e.g. Sam smith sang in the new James Bond film. Star persona is the media representation of an artist e.g. lady gaga is eccentric. They establish performance skills e.g. dancing, musical instrument. LO1- Trailer/ Music video analysis

The first clip I will be analysing is the trailer for FIFA 21 produced by EA Sports. The purpose of this trailer is to try entice the audience into purchasing the game which fully released on the 9th of October around the world. The audience for this product is people who are interested in football as it is a football game but also predominantly at younger males as they stereotypically are more likely to game and play football.  The trailer begins with the cover star Kylian Mbappe in a zoom call with fellow PSG teammates to showcase to the audience that this a cooperative video game where you can play with friends. This will interest the audience as gaming is meant to be enjoyable with friends or by yourself. Throughout the trailer, short clips of gameplay are used to give the audience a taste of what the game they are about to purchase looks like.
